NDR559: 2 Channel Wideband Microwave Digital Tuner

Wideband Digital Microwave tunerThe NDR559 wideband microwave tuner is a 2 channel, superheterodyne downconverter that covers microwave signals from 20 MHz to 18 GHz. It is housed in a 1U, 19 Inch equipment frame with dual 1GHz IF output ports. The dual 1GHz IF ports have selectable IFBW of 125 MHz, 200 MHz, 300 MHz and 500 MHz. Command and Control of the wideband microwave tuner is via the Gigabit Ethernet control port and power is derived from a 115 VAC external power supply input. The Gigabit Ethernet control utilizes an embedded ARM processor and LINUX operating System. Future options include an integrated digitizer and FPGA to allow for streaming digital IF output. The IF output would be present on one of the Dual 40 GigE optical QSFP+ data ports while the Kintex Ultrascale FPGA would be used for a channelizer, the VITA-49 formatter and data multiplexer The unit is packaged in a rugged aluminum chassis that provides RF shielding, thermal management, and protection suitable for harsh environments.
